Legs Eleven in Birmingham is reputed to be a good body shop (so I heard lol).
Not sure if they'd help with the scratch, but they'll take your mind off it.
(One of my mates dated a stripper from there a couple of years ago... we were all BANNED from going, I wonder why )Originally Posted by ion

Just been down to my local Vauxhall Dealer and they are quoting
£242 including VAT to repaint the upper door panel and maybe 1" blend into the front door panel (should be OK not to do the pack panel)
He explained that if I get it done through the Vauxhall dealer, then my Paint Warrantee will still be valid. If I chose to go elsewhere (independant spray shop) then I could 'potentially' loose my paint warrantee, depending where I went.
Help please, £242 is a lot for an itching scratch !!
Paint warranty is onyl a year tho isn't it?
Still not a bad price IMO....
I don't think the paint warranty is an issue, you'll sell the car before the paint deteriorates I would think.
Spray shops are disappearing fast, due to competition from dealers & insurance tie ups.
A good one has just closed next to our office.
I used E&S Motors in Walsall about 6 years ago for an insurance repair, they did a nice job.
Don't know if they do private work or are still there even.
They were in Queen Street along from J&S Motors.
Is it your car from new?
No, I am the second owner.Originally Posted by CDTi

Bicknells at Tipton have a good bodyshop.
Just got back from Lichfield Vauxhall and they quoted me
£320 inc VAT and said that
The whole rear passenger door needs spraying, including half the rear Quarter Panel, plus the whole of the front door to completely blend it in.
To do a good job, it needs the side door bump strips removing and replacing, so that the whole door can be painted.
Oh well......
