Egr prob's

coming home from work tonoight started car to find it would'nt rev, at least not easily...took an age to get the revs to rise, once it had the issue went off....tested again an hour later and the same thing...difficult to get rev's above 1500 rpm.
took egr valve off and sure enough the valve was sticking (solenoid ok). Cleaned thouroughly put back together & A ok !

question is how long will this last. i cleaned the egr valve about 1000 miles ago when last serviced...

anybody know whats the best price for a replacement ?

prob I have is I am thinking of selling the car in the near future....hmmm

Price wise probably around £90 off ebay for a new replacement, i guess you could go used if your selling the car, but i'm sure you dont want any comebacks after you sell her.

yeah, I'd rather sell the car working correctly as I dont want to have a troubled mind.....saying that it may be a couple of months before I manage to get the funds organised etc to go and p/ex or sell privately....

so i am considering a new replacement for peace of mind and reliabilty etc..
