Thanks, Switching is not a problem at all. There is a mini digital processing system in the cid interface. Can take and switch among pal/ntsc/cvbs/scart/rgb/ycbcr signal.

    Thanks

That is a widescreen cid from vectra c. Some preface models use a standard 4:3 screen. That touchscreen is for operating the wince. Unfortunately i have no time to do the command extraction from canbus stuff (e.g. read the engine information, parking sensor distance, control a light etc). The cid screen can be switched among wince, external source and original car information.

Installation is made to easy plug and play. Not fully finished but it may take you time rather than money to do the same mod...

Is it possible to do this to a facelift cid screen as well ?

How do you switch from the touch screen part to the standard car display ?
Is it a button on the dash or do you need to do it mechanically on the screen by taking it out of the dash ?

    All these question's
I just love the idea of the touch screen bit with tom tom

The cid in the video is a facelifted screen. (05-08)
The video switch is auto switch to reverse parking. Other video sources need a push button or a rotary switch to switch between, or can alter the code in digital video processor to make them fully automatic...It can also take infrared signal to operate wince and switch....

TOMTOM is just a piece of cake in wince, you can run most program design for windows mobile system (e.g. HTC)
