Sony KDL40EX401U 40" tv ??

Ok guys this could be the one . Having a couple of threads on here regarding TVs and makes, i think im liking this one regarding connections and reviews, and price of £399. Anyone got one or comment on Sony TVs, thanks.

I have got the 32ex501 which is very similar, and it's superb. Dont know what the exact differences are between the 401 and 501, but you can't really go wrong with it.

One of the best features is you can connect it to the Internet to view content (BBC iplayer, YouTube, lovefilms etc and to your own home network and stream mpeg, divx/xvid directly to it.

Excellent tv in my opinion

i love my sony tv. had it 4 yrs and even still the picture cant be beaten!

Yep I got one of these from Comet where it was originally priced at £699, knowing what I know now I would have bought this over my Toshiba as it is a pile of dog poo and the service dept is an even bigger pile of poo. I have been waiting for 6 weeks for them to repair it as we have no sound as speakers are crap.

Sony speakers are not the best but its played thro surround sound but can't fault the picture....go for it!

However, you typically lose 1 SCART and 1 HDMI input
That's not much for an extra £200

The 503 was on clearance from Currys in November, and at a very good price... and the added Vat back reduced it even more... Got a nice cheque in the post today for the VAT!
