    Default will I change

    Hi All,
I have a 08 veccy sri cdti 150,It currently has 78k miles on the clock.
So far under warranty the fly-wheel,altenator,cruise control and exhaust have been replaced. The vec goes like a dream despite all the problems.
Last week I drove the brother in laws 08 audi a4 2.0 tdi 140 and I just could not see why you would spent that kind of money on the audi over the veccy. I have to say I have grown to love the veccy and I am unsure should I change for a 2010 reg mondeo tdci or hold on to the veccy.
If i keep it for another 3 years it will have about 170k mile on it, but my worry is will it cost me a fortune. My last car was a mondeo tdci 130 with 150k miles all that went into it was sub-frame bushes, re-con altenator and 2 wheel bearings and still drives like new as my bro has it now.
So guys what do you think?

I dont know what to suggest, but I know I will struggle to get rid of my Vectra-C... as I enjoy it so much and dont want to get rid of it !

Probably end up keeping it for years

Same boat for me too,.. planned a change to the Insignia in May this year (I have 08 CDTi too).... but looking like my diesel expenditure will be considerably higher - not heard any Insignias getting over 50 mpg yet. It does look stunning tho and a REALLY want one!!

as above... some of the main issues are sorted now. just keep an eye on the swirl flaps connecting rod on the inlet manifold and service the EGR valve every 6 months as per the how to on here and she'll be a good'un!

iv had 18 cars since i passed my test 7 years ago and iv just gone back to a sri cdti 150, as long as the common problems are sorted it should last a long time and I thought the manifold was modified in 07 to stop the premature failure
