Remap would be better in long run, if you have already done any engine mods your best getting it remaped in person on a rolling road as the generic remaps which are sent to you will no be as effective as they are written for the standard engine

    cheap power - tuning box

i've been running a tuning box for about 2.5 years now with no ill effects as far as i know. at a recent meet another member let me drive their remapped 1.9 and i let them drive mine. the verdict was that we both agreed there was no significant difference in power, it's more about the delivery. the power seemed to creep in smoothly and in a more refined fashion on the remapped 1.9, whereas the boxed 1.9 feels more like raw power being unleashed. once both are wound up, there is very little to tell between the two. the power output felt very similar, if not the same.

if money is no object then go for a remap, if not then consider a tuning box. they give you big power hike for very little money. there is nothing wrong with either option in my opinion.

Well, I've got one and it is as good as you get (IMHO of course ).

But before you zoom off to them I'd have a careful look at their prices compared with others with equally good reputations, and notice that you need to pay them a wedge every year if you want any service, updates or advice from them.

I wouldn't go with them again because of this - most others seem to give a much better warranty.
