Cam belt change

Can anyone tell me how many miles before a cam belt change
Engine is a diesel 1.9 sri dti

Recently asked Vauxhall and its 100k.......

However, I'm going to get mine done at the nest service which will be about 80k

max of 80k the recommend but I would do it earlier and at the same time get the tensioners and the water pump done as a waterpump failure can do the same damage as a cambelt

same as mine, Vauxhall state 100k or 10 years, whichever is sooner.

It's all down to your own choice though mate, mine is a 56 and at 80k will have a new belt fitted, can't be paying for a new engine these days!

Godzilla, just out of interest, what kind of damage can a pump failure cause?

I've always done them as standard, but only because it seemed cost-effective.

I agree with the 80k interval, no point taking risks with a cambelt...
