vxr steering wheel

Wanting to put vxr steering wheel in my car. It is a 05 pre facelift with scroll steering wheel controls. if i buy a new airbag will everything else work ok. or is there 2 types of scroll steering wheel controls.

I have searched the site just can find a definate answer.

Any help would be great.

You should just need a facelift airbag mate

Thanks bigmac hope its all i need, cant afford the irmy 1 so for around £180 for wheel and airbag should be a good upgrade. just dont want to do it if the horn and steering controls dont work.

horn and controles will not work ,both plugs are diffrent, i have fitted one on my pre face lift and ive had to hard wire the horn in but my air bag is disconected

You need the airbag mate, as long as you have the scroll wheels it will be ok as a guy not so long back done this exact mod

Thanks for the info. but the last two comments have made me more confused. Dont know what to do now as will be spending close to £200 and it might not work.

indeed if you already have the scroller wheels then the steering wheel is just a cosmetic change if you had the three buttons either side then there would have been a few more problems

you just need the steering wheel and three spoke bag

your right i did lol
as long as the steering wheel that is in your car has the scroll wheels the vxr steering wheel will fit, but you will need a airbag for the vxr wheel as yours wont fit. the vxr wheel must have all the wiring and gubbins there too, if you need any help fella id be glad to help
