Default April 07 Vectra SRi Head Unit CDC30 Swapout

    Hi there,

I am new to the Vauxhall scene, well since my first ever car which was the wonderful 1.2 Nova over ten years ago.

I had been running round in my Saxo VTS for the past 7 years, which had my Sony HU with the Connects2 kit to allow full support to NW-HD5 mp3 player.

My problem now is i have the Vectra and don't want to lose the centre display, the factory fit HU does not have an AUX input on the front so cannot connect that way. I dont want to use the RF transmitter option due to poor quality.

What options do i have? I was looking at the CDC70?

Also if i got an after market HU, will i lose the centre display?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Mark

The CD70 will only have aux-in on Units manufactured in the latter half of 2007 - onward.
    Apparently,
The CD30 and CD70 can be re-wired (with extra surface mount devices)...

Whatever your screen does now, it will continue to do, as long as you have the steering wheel mounted scrollers.

It just won't display any music information... as there is no musicdevice connected...

    Default

    Cheers for that.

Think i may go down the aftermarket route, although i did want the centre display to still show the details etc. Never mind.....

I have seen the AES/ETO things on Ebay. Has anyone had one of these all in one jobs? Are they any good?
