Default Remapping in the south? (reading area)

    Hi guys,

Done a bit of searching but not found much. Does anyone know of a good place to take the car to have a remap done? It's the 1.9 cdti 150? Reading area would be good but happy to travel a little way.

    Thanks, Rich

Is this available for the 8V 120bhp version John???

Notice they mention "both the 120bhp and 150bhp versions" but quote "assuming they are both 16v engines" so I'm a little confused

Not sure weather I can get a REMAP or am I limited to buying a tuning box such as DTUK® CRD-T (Stage 2) may be looking into remapping or tuning box in March

Would be handy as it's only about half an hour down the road from me

Some stuff from their website, it appears that it is for the 120 too

"The EDS IPF System has arrived!
Welcome to a new era in Vauxhall Performance Tuning....

The system is available for the Vectra 1.9CDTi immediately offering all the benefits of an EDS ECU remap, but in a format that allows you to program the car from the comfort of your own home.

On the 1.9CDTi Phase 1 map the power is lifted to 195bhp and torque figure in the region of 325lbsft on both the 120bhp and 150bhp versions assuming they are both 16v engines. In addition to this you will benefit from raised rev limits, enhanced drive-by-wire throttle response and on average improved fuel economy of 4mpg.

The downpipe particulate filter cleaning cycle is increased in frequency from every 5000Km to every 1500Km and will occur at any time the car is up to temperature as opposed to only above 2000rpm in 6th as set from the factory. This ensures better exhaust breathing and vastly reduces the large number of warranty claims on these items.

The Vmax speed limiter is removed and the EGR is eliminated which keeps the inlet manifold free from soot and allows the engine to breath more efficiently.

Power is held back by 40% by the software until the engine has properly warmed up and is also reduced if the water temperature reaches over 105degrees or intake temps reach 85degrees.

If factory fitted the "Sport Mode" button is used to hold the power back and improve the fuel economy of the car when in the off position, then switching into sports mode releases the full performance potential of the EDS software, lifting the power and rev limits and sharpening up the throttle response.

The IPF will allow you to choose from many options to cater for hardware for all Regal Phases and maps that offer different features, for example a specific high torque map."

    Many thanks for that John

Think I'll give them a call when I get back from France and see what they say

It's a little confusing suggesting that it will work on both 120 & 150bhp models but only if they are 16V

Got to get more power out of this car itsssssssss soooooooooo slowwwww (compared to my last two cars Cherokee 4.0 and Mondeo V6)

    Thanks again

TBH if the CRD2 is anything like my Steinbauer pBox (which doesn't increase fuel pressure) then you should be onto a winner

Some of the Astra 120 CDTI's were 16V units for reasons best known to Vx. I believe some - but very few - CDTI 120 Vectras/Signums are of the same nature.
