    Default painted calipers, at last

    well as i had a day off i thought i better get them calipers painted ready for fitting, heres some pics. just need to give a day or so then ill spray them with engine lacquer, what do you thinks

    dont know how many coats of lacquer they will need, anyone know how many is best

    lots lol. look good but is it the correct paint and laquer to handle the temps?

    not to sure m8
    but i would say 2 or 3 medium coats

    should be, i used halfords own brake caliper spray paint and got some gunk engine laquer, i hope its ok ive done it now hahaha.

    looks very nice Rob what paint did you use as i and most others use hammerite just a couple off coats .

    i was going to use hammerite but have read good things on here about halfords own stuff so thought id give it a go. i did only put 2 coats on each part as the tin ran out but they look ok so dont think they need any more. ill just put a load of coats of lacquer on them.

    i know this question has been asked a million and one times but if anyone knows this without having to look it up, whats needed when doing this upgrade, i mechanic mate of mine is going to do it for me but ive got to get all the bits. ill have a read through the old posts if nobody knows. ta
