    Default Another suspension question

Looking to try sort the handling of the estate. Due to the limited options there are for the 2.8 estate,

Im thinking of going with Bilstein B12's. Can someone confirm that these are B6's with H and R springs?

How do these compare with B6's and eibachs? I presume alot of research went into the B12's, so the spring rate etc should be matched perfectly?

Im not bothered about the looks so much as the handling, so dont want to just go with cheap coilovers.

Is there an Eibach package similar to the Bilstein B12's?

    All help much apreciated.

    Budget is about £800

    Cheers

    Ziggy

An extra 100 quid would get you KW coilovers mate, pretty sure spoons has them fitted to his VXR although his may be the variant 2's

Eibachs should be pretty easy to get too as the 2.8t won't weigh any more than the 3.0v6cdti. Look up the axle weights and then have a look at LMF's website

Eibach also do the pro shock kit which is about £350 from ECP with the 20% discount just now

The weights are front 1135 and rear 1210 iirc, just ordered some springs from ecp but they dont have them in stock and are special order!! so waiting to hear from them now!

    Cheers mate,

So would the eibach pro shock kit and springs be a better match the Bilstein b12's?

Can't say how much better they'd be but eibach springs are good so the shocks designed to work with the springs should be a perfect match imo

I've gone for the Eibach pro kit. Eibach dont actually list them for the 2.8 so i've gone on axle weight as its hard to find any prings for my Siggy. I think ECP are going to muck me about though as I ordered them on line and got 20% off, then the next day I got a mail that they dont keep them in stock and the special orders team would up date me! that was yesterday morning lol.
