You may need the latest firmware
It won't work in a pre-2007 CD70 as it is not supported the only solution is as described in this How 2:
http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=66630
Well it was sold to me as out of a 2008 vec. But I'm not so sure, it should already have AUX-in option. If it is after 2007 and I update to the latest firmware and tech2 it will it work?
The loom for the AUX-in is connected through the car loom because the guy who sold it to me sent me the original quad lock with the loom attached
How do I update the firmware?

theres a disc you can get from the dealers, called EHU (Entertainment Head Unit) update.
Costs about £5 or so. should have a date of 2007 on it
Plasma's Tech2 services are now open and able to provide services
If he had it already set-up in his car, then it will not need the update - simple as.
Also - the radio software freeze date is on a white sticker on the casing... if it is approx July 2007 onward, then it should be Aux-In enabled... The firmware is dated 04/04/2007
There is also a simple pin-out drawing on the white sticker on the casing... it will probably say Aux-In in 3 places, if aux-in is available.
If you know how to go to the "Hidden" pages on the CD70, then it is possible to find both dates on the text on the screen.
I understand that there is a code index change...
this is in two parts... for example, mine is 008 02
008 = Vectra-c diesel without add-on heater
02 = With ice crystal, and Board computer
I understand that Aux-In radios may have a code of 13 for the second half... Or 13 will enable the Aux-In facility for the correctly internally wired units.
I think the above link confirms this...

Hmm I'll have to look into it tomorrow I'll pull it out and read the lable on it.
To activate auxin, first you need to update to late 2007 firmware, then tech2, ehu, code index, set to 012 or 013, done.
As said above... if it was already fitted and working in the previous car, then this should already be updated etc.
Also - I have update disk 04/04/2007, and that does have the Aux-In update included in it ..
It shows it on my CD70 menu, despite being a late 2004 head-unit.(Freeze date)
Major changes updating should not be needed -
UNLESS, the screen and head-unit were fully RESET, rather than having the Anti-theft setting disabled. (just unpaired).
