Angry Pot holes claim another victim!

Just noticed a nice big gouge out of my nearside front tyre and a little chunk out of my tyre! not a happy man, the roads are disgusting around where i live and nothing seems to be getting done about it! We all pay road tax and council tax, and what for? F'All!

Car also doesnt seem to be as tight as it once was after being rattled to pieces by the uneven roads

    Sorry rant over!

Isn't there a way you can claim compensation from your local council when you get damage on a wheel/tyre from a pot hole?

I am sure i have read it somewhere with positive results.

    Thought there was.... http://www.potholes.co.uk/

yep you can claim, few mates have had a claim, send the council pics of the hole and 3 quotes for repair.

Might be long winded, but could end up having your costs recoverd for the damage caused.

Nothing really to loose apart from a bit of time taking the pictures, and writing a few emails.

I know i would do it for sure. Alloys and tyres dont come cheap. I know its a never ending job trying to fill potholes etc, but we do pay for it to be done.

The worst that could happen is the council declining your claim.

There was just about 5-6 weeks of winter and roads is a nightmare. In Poland e.g. looks like nothing will be done in most of pot holes till the spring comes
That makes me sick and annoyed. I just stop even thinking about lowering my car or buying bigger wheels- that just makes not sense :/

Yeah im about to put in a claim for my broken spring, damaged tyre. I hit a massive pothole (wheel kinda fell in it lol). Had water in it so didnt see it till last minute. I am forever dodging pot holes, its my wife's new job to shout pothole lol, problem is just made a 10 minute journey and my heads killing haha.
But I will keep ya'll updated on claim process, so far I have taken pics of pot hole and I will be sending them the spring and tyre along with 3 quotes and reciept for repairs.
