Hey guys, thought i'd say hello.

should pick up my 2006 3.0v6cdti on friday, its an ex police vehicle (no holes in dash though) so hopefully should have been well looked after.

Are there any horrible problems lurking just around the corner for me? all scare stories welcome

yes m8 worse car there is they blow up all time eat fuel and loads off things pumps go cost you £2000 manifold the works wow bad car

I'm also a bit of a tweaker, no vehicle remains untouched for long but as this is my first ever (i know) vauxhall can anyone recommend a good place for parts/spares/shiny bits?

Well, picked the car up at lunchtime to day and its a beaut. Didn't realise before how comfy the seats are! (must be getting old this kind of thing never used to matter) That CD70 whatsit was a bit complicated at first but i got the hang of it eventually, need to get a navi cd though.

The engine is a cracker too, plenty torque whenever you need it, averaged 38mpg on way home, and sounds amazing! doesn't really sound like a diesel at all except at tickover and the extra gear is my newest toy. Pulls from 1200rpm, well impressed.

Should have done this a long time ago.

I have a 3.0L cdti vec c sri, mine was originally a London Met. police car. It was a mess when i first got it but now its taking shape, the dashboard was bad "holed and butchered" with variuos holes in the roof skin for the lighting and antennas. Mechanically its great and goes like stink!!!!

on a run, great on diesel even for a large engine
