Just wondering if and when the first meeting for 2011 is? Looking forward to any shows I can visit this year (probably not many ). Anybody have any ideas for a meet?

If i am around one of the weekends, then i would be up for the Fleet Air Arm one.
Thanks Aidi thats one vote for the museum then.
If nobody else wants to go at a later date we can always do a mini meet ourselfs down there mate.

Oh i am sure others will come along once the weather gets better. Weekends are a bit of a hit and miss affair with me... I live 120 miles from my Girlfriend, so most weekends are spent at hers...
But there is that "special" weekend once a month when i dont tend to travel...
Rgds

I've just had a look at all the ideas on a map and was thinking that we should get numbers first before we get a place. If the numbers are big enough, people may travel further. The unfortunate thing is travelling. If people want to meet up in this month or next, put your name, location and then ideas. At least this way, we could find the middle location for a meet and nobody is then 'put out'.

Im willing to travel and have travelled but the one's you have suggested Chris are the same ones you suggested last time and they are all still virtually on your door step, We all have to travel to i dont mind Fleet air or whatever as long as other members return the vist by heading more south when time come's.
Now im still up for a mini meet in next week or so it can be buckfast, exmouth, sidmouth, exeter, taunton so if anyone fancy's it if not no worries bring on Billing

hi your correct it was the ones i suggested last time as if you remember everybody seemed interested in going to them, we just never seemed to get around to organising a meet at one of them but we all agread we have to have them in different areas all the time to make it fair as after all this is the southwest group which covers a lot of ground so the members around this area need some in our area aswell as the members right down the bottom of the area need some in there area aswell fairs fair after all guys its all about comprimises.
yes the fleet air museum and haynes motor museum are just up the road from me but can you name any other air museums or car museums in the same league as them in the south west ? baring beaulieu motor museum which is even further away and bovington tank museum isnt on my door step either still an hour and a quarter drive for me so that part of the argument doesnt stand up.
i just only suggested them purly on the fact that there fantastic family attractions that are as a bonus indoors so it doesnt matter what the weathers doing my girlfriend karen and my 19month old daughter jessica would have any problems about coming with me so a nice meet plus a nice day out what more could you ask for ? cheers
