Default Well rear spring is broken ... what to do?

Just had the veccy in at the dealers today due to suspected ARB issues. It turned out it needs new ARB & drop links done on front for approx £110, which doesn't seem to bad.

Anyway also they said my rear spring is broken! So what should I do, they quoted me £250 to replace or £200 non gm parts, surely I could get a decent set of lowering springs inc fitting for £200??

My local hi-q quoted me £191 for front spring, front pipe exhaust supplied and fitted. So for rear spring fitted would be less. They quoted me £50-70 to fit full set of lowering springs.
But I have a bro in law with own garage so it cost me a cuppa tea lol

i have i rear pair you could have as i had a front one go last month

As said be before easy enough to do yourself as i did them myself a lot easier to do than the fronts

I personally would buy a set of lowered springs and replace the lot all at once

Got a set of jamex myself and cost £110 all in delivered to my door might not be the best but do the job

Thanks for the advice so far guys

Well from the sound of it I might as well get a set of 30 or 35mm lowering springs. This is supposed to drop a sri another 15mm from what is normally is

aye if you get 30mm eibachs it drops an SRI 15mm.

even LMF are cheaper for a full set of eibachs.

    No Brainer.

Lowering springs - Better metal, will last longer, stronger and cheaper.

^^ I agree completely. I paid something like £152, delivered, when I bought my Eibach kit from LMF Vauxhall - an approved trader on here. They made a significant improvement to the handling of the car too.
