Not sure whether to go for standard GM ones or something different if they offer any benefits?

Last time I changed mine I got Denso double electrode ones from euro car parts for £10.

Yes, but i'd also changed the oil and the petrol, air and oil filters at the same time.

put the gm ones in my vec as soon as I got it,, 10,000 miles later mpg had droped, so checked the plugs although they were a perfect colour all the gap were all over the place one big one tiny ect, all four plugs were the same, so,, put a set of bosch super in, checked them after 10,000 miles they are perfect,
