    Default Wiring Help please

    Hello,

I have recently purchased a small blaupunkt active sub to mount under the drivers seat in my Vectra C. The sub requires a + and - power feed and also an audio feed going to one of the cars speakers.

    My question is:

Which wires running down the side of the car are for the rear door speaker? and also, is there a wire going down the side which is a 12v positive (that could take the power required to power a small amp)?

If not does anyone know the easiest way I could get power under the drivers seat?

    Thank you

safer to run a the positive wire to the battery and put an in line fuse . if you look under the glove compartment you will see a rubber grumet you will gain access through there

If I was in your shoes I will take david-bell´s advise is always better to hook up from the battery directly...otherwise if you take power from lighter, lights etc. you´ll have two unwanted thigs...first the gauge (thikness) of the wire is usually small...not recomended can cause current, heat, etc. problems....and second this circuits have a fuse....usually small...only intended for little amps....in other words...run a good gauge wire directly from the battery and a fuse specific for the aplication. And the ground one you can hook it from the several points attached to the car metal body, try to connect a new wire for this....don´t split an existing one for better result.
