Default should my car have a cd70 satnavi radio

hi hope this is in the right place i have just got a 57 1.9 CDTi Design (150ps) but it has a CD 30 MP3 , CD player in the car i think this is the wrong one for the car the log book has the CDC 70 NAVI. CD / MP3 RADIO NAVIGATION on it
i can not work the sound settings and it only has one round button to switch of the radio and volume now i have found out that my car should have a
    CD70 stereo radio / CD / MP3 player + satellite navigation or the CDC40 DAB radio, 6 CD / MP3 player

my car dose have a colour screen and the au x jack in the car
if i was to get a divorced and set to "new state" cdc70 how would i know if this would fit in my car
where would the gps aerial be on the car so i could see it has one
and would it have the cable for the sat navi

    thanks for your help

The 08MY (2007) Vectra Design models, came with a CDC40 Opera stereo as standard. This was a in dash 6 cd changer and DAB radio. It had a std orange graphic screen and no aux input - it was used by the DAB radio.

I had a 57 plate (Oct 2007) Vec Design, and this is what it had fitted.

You could have the CD70 Sat Nav fitted as an optional extra, either on its own, or as a plus pack with 17" Alloy's. It came with the colour screen and the aux input.

According to the brochure, a CD30 MP3 radio was never an option, even as a No Cost alternative.

The Aerial base for the CDC40, is a very large base, with the front of it being quite bluff, about 1" thick from the roof. This is for the DAB radio aerial.

The Aerial base of the Sat Nav models is bigger than the std, but not as thick as the DAB radio models. It is also more rounded.

I don't have pics of them, but post a pic of yours and I can tell you which is which.

Sounds like in the past your car had a CD70 Nav fitted, but it was either stolen or broken and replaced by the CD30 model. It is possible to have another CD70 fitted, but it requires the Vauxhall diagnostic systemm Tech2 to "divorce" form the donor car and "unite" to the new car for it to work.

    Hope this helps.

Only problem you will have is trying to find a CD70 without screen depaired, So I think best option would be to buy screen and CD70 paired ideally with code then Tech2 your screen back to del mode and sell it on and recoup some money

You will have the right loom but there's a RGB lead that goes from CID to CD70 that may have been removed, but when you buy a 2nd lot it will have that lead or you could check when you remove stereo or remove screen and take a pic if connectors there should be 2 plugs on back

Bit strange that the previous owner (unless it was a dealer) would remove a CD70 and not the screen?

CD70's come up on ebay quite often.. In fact there is one on ebay for £375 from a reputable seller. As said, probably best to buy a complete new unit, decode your old and flog the screen.
