Talking 18" Wheels... what to go for?

Hi all, Ive got a 2004 Vectra 2.0Turbo Sri with standard alloy wheels at the minute. Im thinking of getting something a bit more beefy and wondered if anyone had ideas/pictures on what they suggest? The cars ultra blue so something that would look good, any inspiration would be most appreciated, thank you!

If I were putting alloys on now, especially on a dark car, I would go for chrome as it is in at the moment and shortly old alloys are going to be dated ..

    Something along this lines ..

Thanks for your advice, been thinking about Black ones as it happens. My mate thinks that they are only suited to Jap cars but I disagree..
Isnt chrome a ****** to keep clean though?

Give them a good coat of wax when you get them and they shouldn`t be to bad, the only problem with chrome wheels is that they don`t put much laquer on them, to try and keep the finish as laquer dulls the chrome . Personally on a dark car I wouldn`t put black wheels, but each to their own, thats what makes us different ? Perhaps a black wheel with a polished rim ?

Been looking today and quite fancy some of the VXR wheels, dont know if Im getting the 2 confused but are they the 'snowflake' ones? Does anyone have a pic of them so's I get my facts right!?
Ps like the look of your vectra Bainie, why the change to a Signum? Think you might be right about Black, the cars looking really shiny today and alloy/chrome would look spot on
