Default First time vauxhall owner needing help

Guys, new to the forum and first time owning a Vauxhall

    Need a few questions answered:

    Headlight bulbs ...?
    Sidelight bulbs ...?
    Brake light bulbs ...?
    Reg plate bulbs ...?

All of the above, what type of bulb are they?

    CD players,

My car has a tape player ( very 1995) Quick look on ebay tonight and ive seen a few, but whats the best to go for?

Some have screens? Will the wee screen work in my car?

Got a bulb warning light showing, but ive checked everybulb on the car and they are all working, any suggestions?

    Thanks

    Vehicle : Vectra

    Trim : Design

    Engine : 1.9CDTi

    Year : 2005

    Mileage : Lots

    Default

Headlights: H7 (I think, don't quote me on that one)
    Sidelights: 501
    Brake lights: Can't remember
Reg plate: 501 same as sidelights

If you nip into your local Halfords they have a flip chart with all the bulbs that will have the correct numbers on.

In regards to the stereo, how old is the car? Half-CAN bus cars are late 04 backwards and you will need the radio code for it (CDR2005 model for example). If your car is newer, you will need to get a radio that is divorced from the old car and take it to Vauxhall to be paired to a newer one.

Or make life a lot easier, buy one from somewhere else that isn't a VX one.

As a 2002, has the same ligths as mine

H7 for dipped and main beam, 4 in total
501 for sidelight, numberplate, and indicator repeaters
    581 for main indicators
380 for all others;, brake, rear marker, and fog (offside)

Bulb warning occurs near end of life of a bulb
Equally, the Vectra C will compensate the rear marker lights and brake lights, so check all four
Turn on the lights and then brake
Either look at the back of the car reflected in a window, have someone brake for you, etc

Welcome mate, yours being a 52 plate it'll be half can bus, making fitting those stereos a bit of a headache.

As for a trip computer see this http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=70769

Thanks bud! After Market unit it will be!

Know a few people who work in halfrauds so I'll go pay them a visit!

As for the trip, is it still possible to retro fit this with after Market cd player?

I've never owned a vauxhall so totally clueless, always been Vags or japs!

Yeah it works off of the wiper stalk that you fit, so it's totally independant of the stereo
