I have the Desire HD and it is a fantastic phone. I used to have an Xperia running Windows Mobile 6.5 and fancied a new Winmo7 phone but nobody had one for me to have a play with.

hi mate i work at O2 and i can honestly say i wouldnt bother with the HD7, poor battery life, poor apps, and its slow with a few things running.
we have had alot of returns on it, as said above the desire/desire hd would be your best bet if you want a HTC handset mate.

Got the Desire HD and it is a good phone, I was sitting on the fence about it but it's fast and shiny!

I have htc hd2 running wm 6.5 or android, it's awsome, have all my sat navs running on it, garmin,igo8,tomtom,route66,copilot, each have their purpose, I wouldn't bother upgrading to the win7 mobile as the hd2 is the same spec but cheaper.
