My remapped 150 cdti just passed its mot ( only just )

Hi all

Just put my motor thro its mot and was glad to find out it went thro ok..
Was a bit concerned cos its always smoked quite a bit ( black crap from exceleration) which i thought would cause it to fail the emmisions test..
The guy did ask me why it chucked out like this as he had to boot it a bit to clear it enough before the test.. ( it then passed ok)
Im guessing its down to the car bein mapped in the past and also having all the egr valve assembley removed and blanked off..
Is there a way of sorting this a bit guys???
Makes the back of my car get really dirty quick and kindof usets people driving behind me as it covers them in soot..
Have already run some carb cleaner thro the inlet intake which resulted in alot of crap coming out afterwards but it still bellows out the soot

could well be the inlet manifold, they go bad it can make it kick out a load of smoke. If your coming Lakeside on sunday we can have a looksie for you.

mine is mapped .not had a problem with the mot ,in fact it was showing zero emissions when i had it mot,d . i use redex in mine and if im just using the car to and from work ,ill give it a nice run out to clear the pipes ,i just get the odd puff when floooring it sometimes . as Dean says he have a look if your coming on sunday ....khalid
