Vectra C Blower - How to Change

Hi all,

First post ... have searched for about 30 mins but cannot seem to fnd instructions on how to change the blower fan on a Vectra C 2004 DTI Elite.

The blower does not work on any speed (so I don't think it's the resistors) and grey smoke came out from the fan area (behind the glovebox) AND my local garage told me it's the blower. However I do't have a spare £400 lying around, so I have just ordered a replacement blower for £100 from ebay, but wanted to find some instructions (with pics) on how to change it .. otherwise, it's another £100 to fit.

Can anyone help ?

it will take you about half hour mate did mine at weekend take the glove box out then you can see fan theres 5 torx screws holding it in remove them and the fan will come out your prob only get fan not the plastic caseing the fans held in with 3 torx screws you should have gone to breakers yard mine cost me £35 if you get stuck send me a measge and ile try me best to help

I took mine out to get to the air recirculating motor. It wasnt to bad. Just a bit cramped for a 6'3" chap like me. I used the Haynes Mannual for the instructions. Allways worht £18 especially if you plan on doing work on your car.
