decided to finallly try and get my own insurance, as i have been on my parents insurance since passing my test 7 years ago, so yes 7 years of driving!!!!!

So looks like ill have to stay on parents insurance for yet another year!!!!!

Try admiral mate, i was on dads insurance last year put a post up the other day about it. I got quotes like 7000 from aviva but tried admiral and iv got a quote for £2300, its only 10 months insurance but u build a full years no claim with it ( ell if you dont claim).

This insurance is me as main driver and my dad as additional.

Btw iv been 18 4 months so im alot younger then you.

You will never get it any cheaper unless you build up your own NCB.

Tbh imo I dont think you have a case for complaint. You have a nice motor only 3 years old, you have done a lot of modding, judging by what you have listed. Isn't it about time you got your prioritys right. and leve the clutches of your parents. You'll never get anywhere(insurance wise) unless you do.

All those declared mods must add a large cost to your insurance aswell.

I know, brother had an s4 and insured it at parents house and it was £1300, moved to widnes where it is an 'WA' postcode, but it is literally 2mins down the road and it dropped £500 quid
