    Default remap and dmf

    taking my car to have a new dmf and clutch fitted next week also im looking at having a ecu remap to get a bit more power,my question is will the extra power and torque knacker the dmf quicker,not sure myself so thought i would ask

    Shouldnt do as with a standard remap, they are just optimising the power and delivery. will be smoother rather than a big lump all of a sudden

    If you get a remap where the tuner dont remove the torque limit on low revs complete it should be no problem. I have seen that some tuner remove this, and thats it not good, especially between 800 - 1500 rpm because the vibrations are high around here. Max torque will/can be the same with or without this limit on.

    Also try to avoid this revs in high gear with load at the engine (with or without remap). This will share your new dmf. When I drive my car at the highway I try to hold the rpm around 2000 revs. There are less vibrations here and its good for the dmf.
