    Default Fuel out of exhaust

    Hi all,

    My first post!

2006 Vecy 2.2 Direct 48K ......misfire on motorway with white smoke....called RAC...... Misfire on No1 says the reader, coil pack says the RAC man. New coil pack and plugs fitted, still the same but no fault code, billows of white smoke and petrol running out of exhaust!! No 2 plug and piston top soaking in fuel, injector stuck open? ECU?

Any advice would be much appriciated

    Pete

I'm guessing you've tried a new spark plug too?

Have you run any basic checks on the engine, such as a compressions, leakdown and coolant pressure test?

Yes, changed the plugs as mentioned.

Have not done a compresion check yet but no oil in water or water in oil, engine feels fine to turn over by hand but will do a comp check.

local VX dealer has not got a clue, will remove injectors and have them tested.

    Thanks Pete

Took injector rail off and found that the No2 injector was stuck wide open, £90 for new one. All reasembled but ran like a bag of poo, probabally due to ECU and many other electrical plugs being disturbed. Cleared fault codes with an RAC code reader and all is well.
