    Default headlights

i seem to have a problem with my drivers headlight, just before christmas the light came up on the dash and said low beam on the computer, when i checked it was the drivers side so i removed the bulb after buying a new one, checked it and it didn't look blown but changed it anyway in case it was on its way out. all was fine until the weekend and then it said the parking light was out which turned out to be on the drivers side again so as i was driving over to the local motor shop the light went off the dash and when i checked the light had started working again
all was fine until tonight as i was off to kickboxing and the light came on the dash and said low beam on the computer and it was the drivers side again, when i took the cover off the back of the light and checked the bulb it hadn't blown so i put it back and still wasn't working, when i tapped the back of the connector the light came back on again but goes straight back out again if i switched my lights off going to give vauxhall a call tomorrow as its under warranty still but was wondering if anyone had any clues as to what it may be?

    thanks

Possibly a dodgy connection on the back of the headlight unit

Called Vauxhall today about this and I'm booked in for Monday, they reckon it might not be covered under warranty :s how can this be when I've only owned the car 2 months and I have a full network q warranty on it

It should be according to the Network Q comprehensive warranty claims:

    'Comprehensive warranty

Every vehicle that carries the Network Q badge comes complete with a minimum of 12 month / 20,000 mile worry-free warranty, or the balance of manufacturer's warranty, whichever is longer, providing you with that additional peace of mind that only
    Network Q offers.

Your car is comprehensively covered for mechanical and electrical parts plus labour during this period. Provided by your retailer and backed by the might of Vauxhall - not a third party - you can look forward to miles and miles of carefree motoring.'

Not at all, if it is sold with the warranty then it should be covered.

That's what I thought but he reckons it's only covered if it is a major fault, if it just needs adjusting then I had to cover the cost :s

What does the wording of the warranty say? They should have given you a copy of the warranty document when you bought the car,
I have had a quick look for different levels of Network Q cover and I can only find two levels - Comprehensive and as above, the wording on their website is:-
    Comprehensive warranty
Every vehicle that carries the Network Q badge comes complete with a minimum of 12 month / 20,000 mile worry-free warranty, or the balance of manufacturer's warranty, whichever is longer, providing you with that additional peace of mind that only
    Network Q offers.

Your car is comprehensively covered for mechanical and electrical parts plus labour during this period. Provided by your retailer and backed by the might of Vauxhall - not a third party - you can look forward to miles and miles of carefree motoring.

And also, Lifetime 100,000 mile Lifetime warranty, as below:-
Network Q Lifetime 100,000 Miles Warranty
For over 20 years, Network Q has been the best place to buy a used Vauxhall.

Literally millions of customers browse Network Q Retailer forecourts confident in the knowledge that they could drive away with the peace of mind and reassurance they'd get from buying new. And they have, in their millions. After all, Network Q was the first used car programme to take the worry out of buying a quality used car.

Now Network Q has just raised the bar even higher. Every Network Q Vauxhall passenger car registered to 2nd owner only and under 12 months old with less than 30,000 miles now comes with a Network Q Lifetime 100,000 Miles Warranty - an exceptional level of cover and protection for you and your car.

So even more reason why Network Q is the best place to buy a used Vauxhall.

Either way it should be covered. Have a look at the wording but if it is definately a Network Q warranty then it should be covered.

I'd call Network Q first then go back to the numpty at the dealer - only Network Q number is for finance, call them for a number for the Warranty section:
