Hi mate, My lady spolit me rotten at xmass and got me this set......

    http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...egoryId_165572

Well worth it and comes with a life time warranty.
Im sure ebay sells service kits but might be worth checking your local car shop as they often do packages at a decent price with oil to match

Its actually the 150 piece set i got, sorry i think it just comes with a box of torx and hex bits as well as alan keys so not a huge difference for a £10.
For an oil filter you would need an oil filter wrench that does not come with that set but there only a few quid depends if you want a chain wrench or belt wrench
    try these....

and a service kit on the bay
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/OAC-Filter-Ser...#ht_1189wt_905
But that does not have the oil with it

I think I will keep a eye on the 150 set and snap it up next time its on sale. Do you use the oil wrench after you remove housing with socket? thanks for your links and time :-)

I've got an excellent socket set from Draper, cheaper than the Halfords one but it's done me fine over the 5-6 years I've had it. Pretty much any set you can buy will have the neccesary sockets for modern cars. Vast majority of nuts and bolts are 10mm, 13mm, 17mm etc. Any metric set will be fine. Most come with a couple of spark plug sockets too.

On the subject of oil filter wrenches, I don't bother to use one, can never seem to get them in the very limited space available. I just hammer and old screw driver through the filter cannister and use that to unscrew it!
