Remap is by far the best option, better tourque curve, less smoke I Believe and generaly healthier for the engine. The box is basially over-fuelling and cheating the cars original ECU.

Not sure about bluefin, the most popular for these engines on this website, tend to be from the likes of BSR, EDS and maybe Courtenay ??

Think you an expect between 180 and 200bhp which I imagine to be very tasty and the tourque should go through the roof lol

And by the way - I cant sleep !

Remap will always be better than a tuning box

No Brainer, Remap everytime I had a BSR PPC and I honestly wouldn't recommend them to anyone becuase their support is pretty dire!

If you have DPF get a remap.

I know Regal Autosport's remap also gives a better DPF regeneration program.

Thumbs up Thanks for The Feedback !

Thanks for the feedback, I only knew of the two to exist, so which make or model should I go for, if your saying remap is a better choice?

Makes & Models with Prices would be welcome with BHP & torque.

    Cheers

I had a DTUK red box on my last Signum 120BHP 8v and used it on my 150BHP 16v. Both Signums have a DPF and I found issues with the tuning box and DPF if you are not careful on how high you set it. Nothing that can't be reversed as long as you make sure you keep an eye on it and reduce or remove the tuning box before you get DPF clogging issues.

In the end I choose to get a remap and have had no problems with it so far, (9months). Compared to the problems I experienced with the tuning box, which produced problems at 6months. Essentially I had to run the tuning box on a low setting, the remap feels better and produces more power and torque without the DPF issues.

Cost wise the tuning box was a little cheeper at the time. Considering I had to pay to get a re-gen because (my fault I know) I was running the box too high, actually the remap works out cheaper in the end. I did get the benefit of taking the tuning box to my new Signum, but it's remaps for me.

p.s. So I have a DTUK CDR2 for sale if anyone wants to PM me with an offer.
