Engine & Gearbox Mounting

Hello,

I have the 1.9 CDTI Signum 2006, I have only had it three months but I have noticed that when in higher gears such as 5th or 6th if you let the revs off quickly and put back on quickly it feels like the engine/gearbox is moving. Is this common, does it need seeing to?

you could be feeling some play in the flywheel?

Is there like a judder through the car and a slight banging noise? Same thing happens in mine. Put it down to a worn flywheel and will be sorted out when it eventually gives up.

No, there's no juddering, just a "thumping" backwards and forwards (depending on accelaration or decelaration). It reminds me of worn engine mountings in a mini i had 20 years ago!

lower engine/ gearbox mounting they fail reasuringly regularly unfortunatly, there was a fella on here who made a uprated one but so far no news on him doing a production run.

That's what I meant, just couldn't think how to say it! Can feel it more in the passenger footwell which makes sense seen as the gearbox is on that side of the car.
