1.9 cdti 150 what probs?

hi guys im possibly trading my vxr for an 1.9 cdti 150, the car has 70k, its a 2007 on a 57 plate, when roughly is it the clutch probs etc start and when do the cambelts need done?

Dmf, egr, manifold (although a 2007 should be the updated one) are the most common, not sure about when the problems occur though.... Mines 06 and at 45k no problems yet

Its a belt on the 1.9 cdti. Vaux say 100,000 mile change interval but a lot on here say 60,000-70,000 miles .

My clutch went at about 96k, mine is an 07

found out all the stuff has been done just under 10k ago, whats everyone averaging mpg? guy said he can get 230miles out of £20 is that right? seems too good to be true lol

So 115 miles to a tenner, I guess if you drove it like my grandmother and kept the speed constant not doing lots of round town driving, that would be achievable. I got to Oxford on about 20 quids worth. which is about 200 miles from here. Mine's a slightly older 2.2

sure he said it was on a motorway run, if i get 150 miles to £20 i'd still be happy, cheaper than the vxr

You can be happy then! Easily get that. Probably a fair bit more if you stick to 60 on the motorway. When I did Oxford it was a constant 73-75 with the cruise on the whole way.
