Default Photos of my 2.2 DTi Elegance in Bamboo Green (56k warning)

Here are some photos of my new (to me) Vec-C 2.2 DTi Elegance as promised in this: http://forum.vectra-c.com/showthread.php?t=12377 thread.

I picked the car up on Thurday and then commenced the 350 mile trip back home to Munster, Germany. I was really pleased at my average mpg of 46 as I wasn't hanging around.

I got round to washing the car today then applied a protective acrylic sealant (Carlack-68/Klasse All in one). I then went over this with Optimum Car Wax. The OCW works wonders on light paint colours and can be layered so the relections just keep getting deeper and deeper. I'll apply another layer when I next wash the car.

    Comments are most welcome.

    Nice car!

Must admit, I did/do still love that Bamboo metalic colour on a Vectra.

I did have problems trying to trade mine with a couple of Vauxhall dealers...Apparently "it wasn't a good resale colour for cars"...

Ended up going to my regular non-licensed Vauxhall dealer....the rest is history.

    Here's what mine looked like...

Everybody thats spoken to me since I bought the car remarks on what a nice colour it is. Dealers will try anything to screw down your trade in price. They tried to tell me Star Silver wasn't a good colour when I traded in my Vec-C 1.8. I'd guess that at least 1/3rd of all Vec-Cs are star silver so it can't be that unpopular.

I don't plan on trading this car in anytime soon, I've just taken the "spare" plastic piece out of the airbox and noticed an increase in torque. Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to mod it to death, my plan is to have one of the nicest standard Vec-C's around.
