    Default Honda Accord EX

As some may (or may not) know, I traded in the Vec for something easier on the wallet while still delivering power with big mile range.

2.2 I-DTEC engine, same 150BHP as the outgoing Vec C SRI 150 but without the silly EGR/DMF and other usual issues.

Equipped to the hilt with toys - finally got a chance to clean it now that the snows gone! (Ignore the mud off my feet in the last pic!)

Very fond of the latest Accord but they are fitted with a DMF as far as I can find.

One other question is what is the cover for on the steering wheel?

Yep thats a steering wheel cover fitted (badly).

True this car does have a DMF as well, but reading various reviews, speaking to long term owners - never once has one had to be replaced on this model of car.

    Touchwood!

Economy is slightly lower on urban runs in contrast to the Vec, anywhere between 34-41mpg (and how heavily I plant the right foot down!)

On the motorway, it shoots up to about 57-65mpg (again, depending on driving style).

The pulling power, even in 6th gear is phenomenal - but then Honda are famous for high revving engines too.
