    Default Idling issue

    Hi all, having slight issues whilst the car idles, seems to be higher than normal, recently changed air filter, any ideas what could be causing this? Cheers Matt

    at a guess I would say to first re check your work done when changing air filter, make sure all connections are done up properly. Especially the big hose of the air box, both ends.

    Default Found the problem

    Just checked again and could hear air escaping, moved a hose and it appears to have snapped, its also been affecting the brakes. Will try and get a photo soon, but the pipe runs from the drivers side over to just infront of the water bootle (2.0t). Any ideas what it called?

    That is the brake vacuum pipe, if it is split it WILL cause idling variance and the brakes will be affected, as this pipe creates the vacuum for the brake servo to work. Temp repair with tape, but it needs changing,, pronto!!
