Bought the car with 28k, changed rear pads at about 70k and the fronts still have about 30% on them and am on near 82k now.

Be gentle on the brakes, it'll save your pads, discs, tyres and fuel.

Nah, I drive 70 miles per day to and from work - I like to keep motoring costs down!! Besides, I drive 'with spirit' now and again. Not too often though, don't want to get bored too quick!

I used to make a set of pads last 6k on my old fiat uno. Got to be expensive!

    Low Level Hi-Jack here:

On the whole brake pads subject, with ECP's 20% discount now would be a good time to purchase new pads for my GSi.

Now the rears are easy - only one size.

However I am assuming, without whipping off a wheel and measuring things, that the larger sized front pads (Part No. 101880238) are the correct ones for my 05 MY 3.2 GSi and it's 314mm front discs? Please someone, put my mind at ease.
