    Default 2.0Turbo exhaust on hatch?

Guys im looking for some information from anyone who has a 2.0 turbo hatch. I have an aftermarket exhaust fitted and the centre section was cut (Part number 13116172 i think) but im looking for some information about where the joins are in the hatchback exhaust.

I am going to go back to the standard system and i need to buy a new centre section along with back boxes. The problem i have is im not sure exactly where the original joins are meant to be be and im not sure which section the powerflow people cut, thus meaning im not sure if i require the front section too

Would one of you kind guys be able to measure from the end of the flex on the underside towards the rear end and tell me how far it is to the joint.

Im sure i have gotten this info in a thread before on here but im damned if i can find the thread

    Cheers

You know the stock NET has no centre box mate, just a straight through pipe. i have a Stock NET zorst on my 2.2, and if I remember rightly its one pipe right to the Y section and just beyond. The two back boxes then just clamp onto each part of the Y. I could be wrong of coarse I did the mod a while ago, but it deffo had no centre box.

Yup your right Steve, the NET does not have a centre silencer. Its the flex just after the downpipe my current exhaust joins onto, so im trying to work out where the join of the front pipe and centre pipes are....

Yeah i have alwats found it a bit odd that the bugbums have the centre silencer like the estate, yet the hatch doesn't...odd.

No problem Nige, i will get the info eventually but its a bad time of year to be asking someone to crawl under their car to have a gander

Can anyone measure the distance from the Lamda sensor to the first exhaust join towards the rear of the car? I really need to find out how many sections of exhaust i need to buy from VX

I did have a load of crap typed Steven, but I couldn't say if it was true. The exhaust comprises of the 2 back boxes then the centre section and the CAT, but the centre section could be 2 IIRC. One starts at the CAT and the other is the Y-piece? TBH I can't really remember especially as the idiots at MIJ hacked mine to bits, luckily I still managed to sell it.
