Default Is it possible to rectify this.....?

I made the really bad decision to get my car washed at a local handwash setup in my local Tesco!

When I returned the car appeard to be fine as it was getting dusk outside. The following day on closer inspection there is swirl/scratch marks to some of the panels and the window rubbers look awful as the picture shows.

I realise this is my own fault for not washing the car myself which I usually do and will try to polish the swirl marks out but is it possible to make the rubber look better than this?

I would really appreciate any advice from you detailing experts on here.

    Thanks
    Michael

Looks like the chemical they have covered your car in has stripped the gloss from the rubber.

have you tried any form of trim gel on it to see the results?

If you run you nail (or a pencil) over the trim, can you feel a step?

I will have to get back to you on that one as I am at work and can't get to car straight away.

If there is a step am I knackered?

What if there is not a step, what can be done (if anything).....

Swirls are easy enough to remove with the right combination of pad and polish.

The rubber is one of two situations. It is either a residue on there which you should be able to remove with a very gentle polish such as SRP. If the finish is damaged, you could try Chemical Guys New Look Trim Gel. If that doesn't work, I would seek compensation from the car wash as they have damaged your car and should have the necessary insurance to cover incidentes such as this.

Yeah, there is no way i could prove they did the damage. It's unfortunately a hard lesson for me to not be so lazy and wash the car myself! I'm kicking myself as I always wash the car myself as I know that car washes cause damage etc.
Was a moment of weakness, the car was filthy from the recent weather and I was parked just near the car wash at the super market
