Light come on when key is put in the ignition!!!!

Hi Guys,

I have been looking at the wiring at the back of the light switch to see if it will take a unit that includes the front fog switch. After replacing the unit i noticed that as soon as i put the ket in the ignition the headlights came on and i didn't need to turn them on with the switch.

Does anyone know what i have done to make this happen and how to change it back again???????

IIRC if the headlight switch is disconnected from the multiplug the headlights will come on. Sounds like you've either not reconnected the plug/socket correctly, trapped and cut a wire, or if you've replaced the light switch with another one, then it's not compatable.

checked light switch last night and the problem was the socket wasn't in correctly.
