New in from N Ireland

Hi all!

Just joined you lot today. Have a mk4 Astra and looking to change to a Signum, which are like hens teeth to find over here.

Don't know if the intro bit is the right bit for advice but... I took the Signum out for a wee test drive today, it's a 07 1.9CDTI elite 150ps with 45k on the clock. The dealer has it at £7500. Now the car to look at is great, all the tricks of the elite and bodywork is decent, although with a few minor dings.

My worries... firstly the reliability of the engine now that it'll be hitting 50k and I will be planning to run it till 100k or more. Secondly fuelling the thing, the astra I have is the 1.7dti which runs on air so how willing will I need to be to take a hit there in pocket?

So really, what should I be looking from the dealer? He's putting it through the MOT in 12 months time but are there any other agreements I should be looking for or guarantees that I could ask for?

hi and welcome ,07 onwars are the better motors to buy it should be as easy on the fuel as the astra aslong as its not doing short runs ,good luck with your search

welcome am a bit worried about fuel two i have a 2.0dti and looking at a signum elite auto 2.2 direct lol

Just to add, I have bought a Signum Elite. Went for a different one from described above and believe to have got myself a good deal. Picking it up tonight so you'll see more of me around here in the next few years!

you cant go too far wrong with a Siggy Elite - lots of toys and really comfy - absolute bliss when your driving ....or stuck in snow/ice/accidents etc
