    Default Which would you do?

    a)
Have the car serviced by the main dealer, removing the Pbox and the K&N filter prior to taking it in - allowing them to provide a courtesy skip and trusting they do a good job - but getting a nice VX service stamp in the book

    b) The above- but risk leaving the K&N and Pbox on

    c) Take it to Courtenays - 30 mins further travel, no courtesy car and a non dealer service stamp.

    i would do:

    d) Serviced by main dealer, take box off, leave filter in.

However, i would only do that if you have the sticker that came with the K&N that says not to replace the air filter etc...

Failing that, remove both - it's not really that much more hassle.

Dont worry about your filter, just had mine serviced yesterday.
Its your car,so you ask them to leave the filter alone.
It is then typed as a service requirement onto their job sheet that their not to touch it,i saw my job sheet and it listed all my requirements such as leaving the oil alone(as i have new in with new oil filter) Air filter as i have a BMC fitted, and Pollen filter as that is new too.Even the service was cheaper as a result!!
Just incase paranoia gets the better of you,you can always lift the lid off after to check if the filters is still there!!!

But VX will not sell you a year 4 warranty for the car, which can be bought at a very reasonable cost if it has been serviced by them, I found this out the hard way. Also if you go to courtneys do you really think you wouldn`t spend big on something *lol*

Also if you don't get it serviced by VX you will not get the AA Onward Mobility Pledge ... personally I would take the box off and leave the filter in and ask for it not to be replaced unless you have the original VX one and it's knackered anyway ... you might want to stick that one in, then when you get the car back take it out and you have a spare brand new GM Original air filter.

    Just my personal oppinion though
