    Default remap help

hi my 1.8 sri got wrote off so with the money i purchased a 2006 2.0t veccy c with the saab engine, i wanted to know though your own personal reviews what is the best place for a remap.

apparently its been remapped before to 200bhp but cannot prove it.

i want to get it to around 250bhp.

    thanks

You will need to make huge modifications to get it near to 250bhp. Remaps usually take them to around 200bhp, so it may already have it.

Decent size bore cat back exhaust, sports air filter and larger injectors is all you need to go to stage 3 (235bhp) but anything more than that and you're looking at a LOT more money.

www.TorquingBHP.co.uk give 220 with their stage 1. TBH, if a map only gives 200 BHP I'd ask for a refund.

As already stated, you wont get to 250bhp with a remap alone and anything dramitically more will cost alot. You'd be better off with a vxr for the money you'd pay eventually to get to them figures + obviously a vxr would go much furthur in performance (300bhp from a remap alone)

Guess first thing to do would be get it on the rollers, and get a performance filter and airbox mod (or full induction kit, up to you)

You could probably get 220-230 for reasonable money

It depends how the people with the rr work it if they do it from wheels then 200 is spot on u wont get more than that from stage one but if they do it from flywheel then it would be around 220-230 ish most plces rr calculate the drag and add it on from wheels makes it look higher lol but it only matters what you have at wheels

first off find out what turbo is fitted, if you have the Garrett then your options are limited to 235bhp if you have the Mitsubishi you can get a little more but you will need some of extra the things stated above.. To go above 230bhp you need to consider the Maptun route, but once again find out what turbo is fitted to the car and what colour your injectors are before stumping up any money to anybody..
