    Default Blue light driving.

Due to the nature of my job we use blue lights and various sirens. But what i still find amazing is the fact the people just don't pay attention to the other road conditions or have situational awareness. We know what to do, we will work around any hazards that come to light. We are trained by the police and do the police advanced driving course so we are clued up. All that is needed is a safe place to move too, and we will do the rest. We don't drive like the panda car drivers who need more training.
    Thankyou.

a friend is in the ambulance service, she was saying that she regularly sees people trying to in her opinion "race" them, she went into details of one incident where a car overtook them at speed on double lines, then slowed right down in front of them, let them pass, then repeated his previous action, she said this occured for a distance of 10 miles before a police car who there ambulance radioed through and alerted them , intercepted and stopped the car that was causing a nuisance

They don't do that to us, we always have a police escort most times. But yeah people like that are dangerous and think it's fun to play with other peoples lives, one word to describe them, ***COCKS***.

I just don't understand these morons that seem to get a kick out of messing the emergency services around. It's like the idiots who throw bricks and other objects at fire engines, as they go about there work. One can only hope, that on the day these messers need the emergency services, some other halfwit is slowing down the response to them,,, ain't payback a beeatch??

can you imagine if ambulances had to have a police escort, and the uproar that would cause, there all linked up through radios fortunatly so easy enough to tip off police of people like this

Me. I do my best to let the emergency vehicle get past without hindering "him". I repsect the fact that they "need to get somewhere very quickly".

Dad was a copper for years. His advice to me was either get out of the way in the first safe place, or boot it till you find one !

Worse if it happens during your driving test, the most common reason for test failure

Posted this before, but no matter what the driver does fails test!
Driving along a one way street and passes a Fire Station
Fire engine appears and ends up right behind with blue lights on
There is no where to pull in and the junction is about 300 yards ahead
Continue at 30mph, then pull in to allow the Fire Engine to pass?
    or
Does the driver speed up, then pull in to allow the Fire Engine to pass?
At the end of the test the examiner returns that the driver should continue at a safe speed (not exceeding the speed limit) pull in to the left as soon the vehicle showing blue lights was directly behind; as a result failed the driver

I ALWAYS get out of the way if there is an emergency services vehicle either behind or infront, infront may sound a little strange to some but the **** in front of them may not move far enough over if at all.
I mau be me or one of my family one day and I'd like to think that any people on the roads then would do the same.
