Garage would probably charge approx £75 or so. Would take about an hour max with all the proper equipment, bench mounted spring compressors etc etc....
average person not owing a garage about £30-£50 and would take about 2hrs not rushing it...

Have a look in guides section so you can see if you think its easy or not.
A garage would probably charge 2 hours labour to fit them.
depends on how much the garage you take it to charge for labour? only unusual tools you should need are spring compressors for getting the old springs off the struts, everything alse you should be pretty straight forward tool wise,
depending on how easy the bolts are to come off the car i could prob do them off a jack in around 2-3 hours, but obv a garage will do it off a ramp, so will be easier,
just phone up and ask around for prices, hth
Need the tool to remove the top bolt from the mount. seems like a bit of a specialist tool to me unless anyone can advise otherwise...?
A box spanner would do, or crack off the top nut while the strut is still bolted in place on the car.
What one?
The Torx one or the 22m swan neck spanner.
The 22mm one is the one most people have problems with as it tends to spin the whole piston rob whereas the garage has air tools (Or electric impact guns) that shock it off.
Another bolt you may have problems with is the drop link nut as they can just spin the whole drop link joint if your unlucky.
Its an easy job on the back as you only have to undo 1 nut at either the top or bottom of the shock absorber to change the spring. Fronts a bit more involved and obviously require spring compressors to do the job safely. Should be abut a hour to an hour and half's work for a garage as long as they have no issues with any seized nuts etc.... Save your self some cash and do the back yourself and get a garage to do the front.
Vortex sockets for the top mount nut and male torx for the insert.. As for drop links never had one spin on me yet as theres a flat on the back of it to stop it from turning
