    Default cd2005 help pleeeaaase!!!

    Hi All,

After several months of happy motoring in my veccy, and trawling this forum for assistance (which has been top notch) I finally decided to make my mods.

I've always been keen on building sub enclosures, and in all of my previous cars have been successful..... until now!!

I've decided to keep the cd2005 in place and just hard wire through direct to the amp from the rear feeds. No probs at all in the knowledge of how to do this, as have done before.

Today was the day I took the plunge, unscrewed the grubs, bent some coat hangers, got it out first effort... this was my first of 3 shocks.... where the hell were the wires!??!!? Hmmm, I looked to the back, and it seems that Vauxhall have decided that having the connectors mounted on the rear of the stereo cage is a good helpful idea!

SO, firstly, how can I access the stereo wiring from here? as I was hoping to have easy access to the rear speaker wires, and also the ignition live wire.

After a few shrugs and swear words, I replaced the stereo, turned on the ignition and was greeted by SAFE... out came the manual which is of no help, as I dont know how to get it to say code, let alone how to input it!

Please help me... Ideally with the code issue first, as I have 2 hours of driving to do today, with the kids in the back, so need some music!!!

    Many thanks in advance

oh, and a Happy new year to all!

The cage is held in by 1 torx screw in the middle of the cage at the rear then its basically a case of prising around the outside to free it from the dashboard. Once you remove that you will find the multi connector block with all the wires behind that.

    Cheers peeps.

managed to get the code to work... took a bit of faffing, as for some reason, the power button has to be pushed really firmly to even work!

Well it's too dark and cold now for me to attempt any fiddly wires and bits of sharp metal to scratch my precious hands, so will be up with the birds to have a bash tomorrow..... for now, back to sealing the enclosure so it's ready
