Is it right that a 56 plate Sri doesn't give any basic dash warnings such as low washer level? It tells me when a bulb has gone but nothing when the washer bottle was empty?

My 06 sri tells me when the washer fluid level is low. I have the cd70 with colour screen, so comes up as a piture on the screen in between the centre vents. I suppose it depends which display you have. If it tells you a bulb is out, then I'd have thought it'd tell you when the windscreen fluid was low
mine used to tell me mine was a cd70 get some 1 with op com and see if they have disabled the telli tales do a test on them to see if they have a fault or just turnt off
I've got the CDC40 fitted and just seems odd that I get a picture up showing me which bulb has failed but nothing for the basic warning? I've got an ODBC reader but haven't actually tried it yet
Are you actually sure that you have the sensor fitted
You may not have the check control enabled.. soundslike it is not enabled
Basic Variance configuration function..
The instrument panel will give bulb warnings in the left hand little pixel display where the door open image comes up even without check control.. but not the washer fluid warning.
The Check Control will put these warnings onto the main mid-dash radio Display itself..
(But not if you have a Triple Info Display with the clock buttons... unlikely with a CDC40)
You should have either a BID or GID display... which should both have facility to show warnings.
If you enable the Check Control function, but don't have a sensor fitted, then it will flash up the low fluid warning, every time you switch on the ignition.
It is not majorly difficult to fit a fluid sensor and wiring as necessary. depends on your electrical experience and confidence.
So how can I test if check control is enabled? Don't tell me Tech2?
Tech 2, official versions of Op-Com and Vaux Com.
If you are lucky, there may be a Forum Member with an official programmer not too many miles from you.
(Please don't enquire about unofficial equipment - this cannot be discussed... sorry to mention it yet again.)
