    Default change clutch as well

ive been having my dmf rattling now for the last 2 years or 25000miles,its started to get a bit louder and have decided to get it changed, ive phoned and visited a few garages to get some quotes, and a lot are saying that i might not need to change the clutch until they can strip it down and have a look at it,my question is if the clutch looks ok shall have it put back in or replace it with a new one while its all stripped down.

    thanks for any info

you may as well mate, but if it still has a lot of life then you could just save some cash and replace further down the line..

Its worth doing it at the same time so it saves you £300 odd in labour when the clutch does need doing.

A clutch kit with CSC is £270, and will have been worn by the excessive wear in the DMF.
Its realy a false economy as Auto data quotes 5hrs for a clutch change unless you are about to sell the car its best to take the hit. I did.
