    Default Broken spring-what to do?

Well took the car to vx to have the fuel pressure regulator recall done and had a service at the same time.
When I picked it up they told me that my o/s/f spring has broken and quoted me £186 to repair (no noise's etc even when I bounce it). Also that my front pipe was quite deteriorated and quoted £192 to repair (39k miles).
I called Hi-q for a quote and they left me a voicemail with a quote of £191 supply and fitted (spring and exhaust) mmmmm cheap compared to vx, didnt get chance to call them back as I thought mine is an sri, they took my reg to chase parts but the shocks are different on sri than other vectra c's, I will call them monday to find out.
Anyway back to the question lol, do I replace standard shocks which i believe are 20mm lower than norm springs or do I get the pi/gmax/eibach springs that lower 30mm? Also am I right in saying I will need to replace both front springs not just the one?

    Cheers peeps.

You should replace both fronts but to be honest get some Eibachs so much better, build quality and less chance of the same happening, lets face it next year will probably be more snow and Ice more pot holes etc. Not sure about the shocks, my Exclusive I just put the 30mm lowered Eibach springs on my standard ones and it was fine.

Same happend to me with the front springs. With mine being gsi, i got quoted £182+vat for pair of front springs, thats without labour. So i just swapped the full set to -30 PI springs, £105 the full set

Lower it mate! Even an Eibach kit is 160 which is cheaper than two springs from vauxhall! And they will be better quality than the vauxhall ones!

My wifes Astra xp had snapped spring, quoted 180 for a pair, we fitted eibachs, new springs all round, better handling and 20 quid saved!

I've fitted Eibachs on my vectra too... Can't fault em, and peace of mind against snapped springs!!

Just ordered me a set of Eibach pro-kit 30mm springs. Will be fitted on Saturday. Question is will I need to have a wheel alignment done after as me and my lorry mechanic mate are fitting them.

Do any of you fine gent (or ladied) know of any kit to replace the Vx springs that lower it less than 30mm?

I don't fancy -30 on my standard 16'' rims might look like half a job if you know what I mean
