whining engine for first 10 mins ?

my 2.2sri sounds almost electric for the first 10 mins of it running then fades away is this normal?
only when engine is starting from cold if im honest but with being new to vectra c and googling stuff about the engine im afraid of the timing chain or the oil injector problem although my cars an 03 plate.

help or advice welcome lads/ladies

Get it to a mechanic asap,it could be nothing,but it doesn't sound good to me

And someone who knows the vectra 2.2 petrol engine too.

orite scotty mine started like a whining noise then over time started to rattle saying that bud it could very well be a noisey alt or power steering pump

thanks lads getting serviced next week so will ask at local vx dealers
